This movie not only celebrates Lagos' thriving creative industry but also highlights the transformative potential of technology in storytelling.









International Partnerships: Strengthening Lagos' Global Relations


The Governor's international engagements continued with a series of significant meetings aimed at fostering collaboration in infrastructure, trade, and sustainability:


• Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA): Discussions at Lagos House focused on expanding infrastructure development, technology, and environmental sustainability in Lagos.


• Kingdom of Denmark: The Governor received Mr. Jens Ole Bach, Ambassador of Denmark, along with trade officials, to explore opportunities for trade and investment partnerships.


• China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation: Another important meeting with Mr. Zhang Hui, Chairman of the corporation, focused on strengthening economic ties and mutual interests for development.


Healthcare Advances: Avon Medical Facility Launch


The Governor also attended the launch of Avon Medical’s new ultra-modern healthcare facility, part of the Heirs Holdings healthcare arm. This new facility is set to enhance access to quality healthcare services, underscoring the state's commitment to improving public health.


Lagos State Commercial Court: Enhancing Business Climate


A major milestone was achieved with the official commissioning of the Lagos State Commercial Court. Located at Tapa, Lagos Island, the court is designed to streamline business-related legal processes and improve the ease of doing business in the state.






Empowering Communities: Vocational Tools for Economic Growth


First Lady Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu empowered 500 beneficiaries with vocational tools to promote self-reliance across various sectors such as tailoring, plumbing, and catering. This initiative, supported by development partners, aims to foster economic growth and empower individuals in Lagos communities.

Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, called for a comprehensive redesign of Nigeria’s secondary education curriculum. Lagos is gearing up for the return of the Lagos Fanti Carnival, set to take place on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. In collaboration with the Consulate of Brazil, this cultural event will celebrate the rich heritage of Afro-Brazilian returnees with vibrant parades, music, fashion, and cuisine.

The Lagos State Government, in partnership with the Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA), has empowered persons with disabilities through a two-day advocacy training.
